Winchester, MA
2016
This newly constructed bathroom in a National Register-listed house in Winchester was meticulously designed to match the style of an existing 1920s-era bathroom. Period-specific tiles were sourced and installed with a high degree of detail and workmanship. A modern frameless shower marries all the modern conveniences with the authentic design, tilework and materials of a vintage bathroom. Sconces and plumbing fixtures original to the home were restored and incorporated into the bathroom project. The shower seat, window sill and shower edge were fabricated from a quartz product that looks like marble but is more durable and stain resistant.
